Pyuthan, June 3: The death toll in the Pyuthan road accident has reached 18. The road accident took place when a passgener bus (Lu 1 Kha 3803) heading towards Krishna Nagar from Bhingri, Pyuthan overturned on the road after the driver lost control at Gothibang VDC-1 of Pyuthan Monday afternoon.
The bus was carrying Indian pilgrims returning home after a visit to the Swargadwari Temple.Nine passengers died on the spot and others on the way to the hospital, police said.
The deceased are of Balrampur, Gaunda and Baharaich of India. Among the deceased, only four are identified as Satguru Harjan, Sanahi Harjan, Dilu Harjan and Phurla Harjan.
Of the injured, 64 passengers were taken to the Bijuwar-based district hospital in Pyuthan on Monday. And 57 of them have been referred to other hospitals. The cause behind the accident is yet to be known. RSS
